On August 26, 2025, Pastor Christian Gisanura launched a three-day series of prayers, encouraging Christians to invite Jesus to walk with them in their everyday lives.
Pastor Gisanura taught that believers should seek to walk with Jesus as they would with their closest friend—present in their actions and even in their thoughts. He explained how such friendship with Jesus can bring lasting transformation to one’s life.
He opened the prayer by declaring that Jesus is powerful, loving, and never abandons those who trust in Him. He began with the words from Hebrews 13:5: “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’”
He urged Christians not to let money or worldly possessions rule over their hearts, but rather to pursue blessings that align with God’s will.
Pastor Gisanura emphasized that walking with Jesus leads to open doors, guidance, provision, and help in relationships, family, and work. He read from John 15:15–16, explaining that Christians are no longer merely servants of God but true friends of Jesus—friends with a meaningful relationship rather than just a title:
“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” – John 15:15–16
He encouraged believers to pray for a friendship with Jesus that bears fruit in their lives and in the requests they present to God. He also highlighted Isaiah 54:10, reminding them that troubles and sorrows will pass, but God’s Word and peace will never fade away:
“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. – Isaiah 54:10
Pastor Gisanura prayed for peace in the hearts of believers, in their homes, workplaces, relationships, and health—reassuring them that walking with Jesus brings lasting peace.
In conclusion, he reminded everyone that these three days of prayer are not only about asking Jesus to walk with them as a friend, but also about reflecting on the value of that friendship, strengthening the journey of those already walking with Him, and inviting those who haven’t yet started to embrace Him as their daily companion and helper.
These prayers are an invitation to ask Jesus to walk with us as our faithful Friend. This was Day 1.
