Fiston Iradukunda Releases “Bafite Byose,” Emphasizing That Knowing God Surpasses Everything

Rwandan gospel artist Fiston Iradukunda, also known as Consolateur Iradukunda, has released a new music video titled “Bafite Byose” (They Have It All), delivering a message that knowing God is enough for believers and outweighs all earthly wealth, honor, or possessions.

In this uplifting song, Fiston highlights that while Christians may appear to the world as having little, in reality, they have everything because they possess God.

What Gives Christians an Edge?

In an interview with the media, Fiston explained that his song is grounded in Scripture, particularly the teachings of the Apostle Paul.

“I drew inspiration from Paul’s writings, especially Romans 3:2, where he asks, ‘What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew?’ The answer is that they have something priceless—God’s promises and covenant,” Fiston said.

He clarified that what sets Christians apart is not earthly wealth but the Word of God, His promises, and fellowship with Him—a legacy more valuable than material possessions.

Fiston also references 2 Corinthians 6:10, which states: “as having nothing, yet possessing everything”, reinforcing the song’s core message.

“Some may see us as having nothing, but in truth, we have it all. The purpose of this song is to console believers and remind them that, no matter the circumstances, knowing God is sufficient and remains the most important thing,” he said.

The Value of a Christian

Fiston emphasizes that a Christian’s worth does not depend on material possessions, social status, or how the world perceives them. Instead, it is grounded in being a child of God, having salvation, inner peace, eternal hope, and God’s unchanging promises.
In practical terms, Christians possess:

Unshakable hope
Peace that surpasses worldly understanding
Security of mind and confidence in God’s presence
The promise of eternal life
All these blessings are highlighted in “Bafite Byose”.

Fiston announced that 2026 will be a special year in his musical journey. “I plan to release many new songs—both in the studio and more creative projects. These are for those who love God and worship; I foresee it being a historic year,” he said.

He intends to work even harder to spread the Gospel through music. Although trained in agriculture, Fiston says Gospel music is his calling, one he felt since his youth.

“I started singing in secondary school and gradually composing my own songs. I felt it was my calling, and I love it,” he added.

So far, Fiston has released four songs: Wambereye Inshuti, Ibanga, Ambwira Ko, and Bafite Byose. He also plans to translate his songs into other languages including Swahili, English, and Portuguese to reach a wider audience.

In “Bafite Byose”, Fiston Iradukunda reassures listeners that while the world measures life by wealth and appearances, true value lies in knowing God, living in covenant with Him, and trusting in His promises—the ultimate source of comfort and fulfillment.
