A Revival crusade organized in Muhanga in the Southern Province, where Pastor Théogene Niyonshuti who recently passed away, was supposed to preach, it was announced that it will be concert to bow down for him, as he was one of the evangelists who were invited.
This concert scheduled for July 22 and 23 was organized by Ev. Egidie Uwase who currently lives in Canada, in partnership with the EAR Parish of Gitarama.
It will be held at the EAR Gitarama Parish, located near Cyakabili, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ev. Egidie Uwase, who organized it, told IGIHE that he had the idea to organize the meeting in November 2022, when he prayed and asked God for the ability to preach the gospel. The theme of this meeting is "New Life in Christ".
Ev Uwase said, "I want to remind the Muhanga people and everyone else who will attend the concert that our God does saves his people, and that his will is for his people to get out of the bondage of sin and live a life of success full of hope and peace."
She continued "I also want to tell them that accepting Jesus as their king and savior will change their lives and make them more useful to their families and society in general."
Uwase says that the theme is related to the life he went through full of sadness, despair, etc. but she was saved by Jesus Christ, and lived a life of "joy and peace." I built myself up in different ways both mentally, emotionally and physically.”
She continued, "My main goal is to see a large crowd of people decide to accept Jesus Christ as their king, and choose to live a life that pleases God and believe in Him more because I have no doubt that after that they will have a good life."
Besides Ev Uwase, other evangelists will give lectures in this gospel gathering including Ev. Boniface Singirankabo, Dr. Bishop Kalimba Jered, pastor of the Anglican Diocese of Shyogwe where EAR Gitarama Parish is located. Pastor Théogene Niyonshuti known as Inzahuke was one of those who were invited to this gathering but he died in an accident at the end of last month.
Uwase said that even though the evangelist passed away, they have no doubts that the testimony of the good life he lived while on earth will lead many to the path of salvation.
She said, “God changed his life, and he spread good fruit all over the world. His testimony will continue to bring people to Christ. It was a great blessing for us to be with him only, by the will of God he did not wake up before the meeting but I assure you that we will be with him spiritually."
Apart from the evangelists, it is expected that this gathering will include various artists such as Yves Rwagasore, Wellars Sindikubwabo and The Power of the Cross Ministry.
