Pastor Christian Gisanura Urges Christians to Remain Close to God and Walk With Him Daily

During a prayer session held on June 11, 2026, Pastor Christian Gisanura emphasized the importance of remaining close to God and walking with Him every day.

He stressed that a life led by God protects believers from evil and enables them to fulfill the purpose for which God created them.

Pastor Gisanura explained that walking with God allows a person to be guided by Him at all times, whether they fully understand His direction or not.

He noted that when people obey God, positive results become evident in their lives, and the enemy’s plans can be frustrated through God’s protection and intervention.

In his prayer, he referenced the words of the Apostle Paul, who declared, “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me,” emphasizing that every Christian should aspire to reach a level of spiritual maturity where God completely directs every aspect of their life.

Drawing from Joshua 22:5, Pastor Gisanura encouraged believers to diligently observe God’s commandments, love His Word, and put it into practice so that they may grow closer to Him.

He prayed for God to give people new hearts filled with reverence for Him and a hatred for sin. He also asked God to create in believers a deep hunger for reading, understanding, and applying His Word.

He said, “It is not enough to simply read God’s commandments; we must immerse ourselves in them, understand what God desires, and then put it into practice.”

Pastor Gisanura further explained that loving God is not merely an emotional experience but a daily choice and commitment. He prayed that believers would make decisions based on God’s will rather than their own desires and ambitions.

He also reminded Christians that they were not created to live for themselves alone, but that each person has a unique purpose and assignment from God to fulfill in their generation.

As he concluded his prayer, Pastor Gisanura asked God to use the lives of believers to accomplish His divine purposes, emphasizing that their bodies and souls should be fully dedicated to Him.

He prayed, “We are here so that You may use us to accomplish what You have planned to do in this world. Help us not to be guided by passing trends, but by Your perfect will.”

Pastor Christian Gisanura ended by asking God to continually surround believers with His presence so that they may remain faithful to His ways, walk in obedience, and pursue His desires rather than their own.
